Why would ANYONE pick a career where you have to apply to literally "2000 jobs" to MAYBE get an interview, let alone a job?!?! Really, what is the attraction? Especially when all of these jobs are supposedly in such "high demand" when obviously they are not.

Tbh it depends on the perspective. I earn 3.5K per annum ( in Dollars) and I have to pay everything with that (rent, food, public transport). With this I can't go out and all until I save up to 2 or 3 months (that is too extremely lucky if anything major doesn't come up for me to pay). This doesn't cover any benefits, it's in-hand only but at the end of the day I am living and surviving so yeah maybe my case can be said as paycheck to paycheck but mine too cannot be compared with people who are living on even less than this because according to their perspective, I am living a fancy life (a lot of people have said this to me). Expenses depends on your needs, what you want.

Minimalism gives you leverage and inoculates you from management-by-fear. If your boss tells you to work the next six Saturdays or you're fired, it helps to be in a financial position to refuse.

Nah, disagree, just got to be yourself to be even more successful whether poor or rich, but wise video, tho, me love, other than that, if an individual can afford to eat out everyday, then why not, right? I’m a big spender, but I have my limits, I know that I can’t eat out everyday, so os I’m not going to do that, but KEY is if I could afford it without getting in debt then I would eat out and buy fancy things everyday. Good idea to start a savings account, thanks for the inspiring video, just don’t fake the funk, either you can afford it, or not, like you said key os not to get into debt, right? You did mention investments, what can you share about Crypto invesments in a future video? 😊🧛‍♀️🥰🤑✨💎

    1) Companies post fake jobs to drive online traffic which boosts their SEO. 2) Job boards are crawling with con-artists who use fake ads to collect your personal info. 3) Job boards have very few real jobs.

I've my Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering(3.8GPA) and Master in Robotic(3.9GPA) both at UCLA with around 1 year of research experience. I've been applying for a job since I graduated on June 2023. I'm willing to work any shift, on weekend, move to any state, travel 50% +, full time, part-time, contract, intern and only asking for $50,000 - $70,000 annually. I've applied way over 3000 job at this point (around 30-50 job applied a day), with barely any response let alone interview. I've tried everything: revise my resume many time, reach out to friend, recruiter, and even try to connect to the CTO or CEO directly on Linkedin. I felt so down and frustrated many time. The only thing that is keeping me sane is the gym and my right hand at this point.

It's AI. AI has made recuriters the most picky eaters in the world, such that the only thing you can do is cheat (use AI yourself), which makes them even picker, which drives you to cheat more, and so on and so on. There's an intelligence bubble: every post on LinkedIn is written by AI, every response, every resume. They all sound the exact same. You can no longer stand out by being smart or having talent, you stand out by making sure that the 20 keywords in the job posting are in your resume. What's more is that recruiters spend their entire life on LinkedIn and expect everyone else too. Your profile needs to be like this, you need to comment on that, you're description should be this many words. It's like showing up to a soccer field and having a pro player make fun of you for not knowing how to backflip kick the ball. And who are these people? Recruiters are reveled like Gods on LinkedIn. "Here's what this recruiter says you should do to land the position..." Imagine your country is being invaded and someone says, "don't worry, we've got 30 recruiters here to help defend" ...great, they'll be super useful. This is a disgusting job environment. There is no opportunity. If one wanted a homestead in the 1800s in this climate then you would need at least 6 years homestead experience, a masters, and a portfolio of previous homesteads. The land of opportunity has closed off opportunity to everyone except the lucky few who game the system. I had do-at-home coding problem for an interview and ran out of time finishing it. Then I realized I could have just put the question into AI and have it write the entire thing for me in a matter of seconds. This is just the start. Humanity is dying. We're not people with blood who laugh, love, and have a life full of experiences. We're a list of 20 keywords - the sum of our humanity. If you ever wonder why Gen-Z are doomers, it's because you squashed every last bit of their humanity for profit

I have heard the average person on the planet lives on less than $5 a day! And most Americans spend that much on their morning coffee alone. We are so blessed here, we are rich & we don't even know it. We are taught to be unsatisfied with what we have and go spend more to get more to be happy but it is not true. Less is MORE. Be content with what you have. That is one of the first steps to being truly happy. Thanks for the video!

People look poor so they don't have friends and relatives and relatives of relatives always trying to borrow money or get you to invest in their latest enterprise. If people think you have money, other people want to help you spend it. And if anyone thinks that they are in your will, your future just might include a tumble down the grand staircase.

I also think why people are having a hard time on finding a job is because they are asking too much of a high salary. If you have 2 years or more work experience+education then sure it makes sense but if you just got done with your school with 0-1 year of work experience, I wouldn’t recommend asking a high salary/compensation off the bat.

Why are people make videos and say ridiculous things like this? It's purposefully misleading. She said you would need $6099 a month just to pay for housing and she's basing that off of a $787,000 house. Why would someone need to buy a house that expensive? There are plenty of cheaper options for living lol. Making it seem like everybody is struggling and people making 6 figures can barely survive. And saying that no one can afford anything is so outrageous i don't even need to go into that. If no one could afford anything everyone would be homeless.

It will only get worse as more layoffs take place. IT people are an expense, big expense. Companies like IBM had yearly layoffs as budgets are defined. If you don't have experience, you will be competing again people with years of experience. Damn glad I'm retired after 37 years of IT. I wouldn't do it again. Being on call 24 hours a day, working weekends to install code and update databases. Nope, not for me.
